The following is a release by the United States Geological Survey, National Earthquake Information Center: A strong earthquake occurred 235 km (145 miles) WNW of Sibolga, Sumatra, Indonesia at 7:10 AM MST, Nov 19, 2005 (9:10 PM local time in Indonesia). The magnitude and location may be revised when additional data and further analysis results are available. No reports of damage or casualties have been received at this time.
Felt at Sinabang. Felt at Medan, Sibolga and on Samosir, Sumatra. Also felt on Nias.
