The following is a release by the United States Geological Survey, National Earthquake Information Center: An earthquake occurred about 50 km (30 miles) SE of Nikolski or 1455 km (910 miles) WSW of Anchorage, Alaska at 3:04 PM MST, Dec 26, 2007 (1:04 PM AST in Alaska). The magnitude and location may be revised when additional data and further analysis results are available. There have been no reports of damage at this time.
