The following is a release by the United States Geological Survey, National Earthquake Information Center: An earthquake occurred 145 km (90 miles) SSW of Padang, Sumatra, Indonesia 325 km (200 miles) WNW of Bengkulu, Sumatra, Indonesia at 7:37 PM MST, Mar 2, 2008 (Mar 03 at 9:37 AM local time in Indonesia). The magnitude and location may be revised when additional data and further analysis results are available. There have been no reports of damage at this time..
Felt (V) at Painan; (III) at Pariaman; (II) at Bukittinggi, Padang and Padangpanjang, Sumatra. Also felt in Singapore.
