The following is a release by the United States Geological Survey, National Earthquake Information Center: An earthquake occurred 285 km (175 miles) ENE of Bristol Island, South Sandwich Islands and 3780 km (2350 miles) SE of BUENOS AIRES, Argentina at 12:17 AM MDT, Jun 30, 2008 (5:17 AM local time in South Sandwich Isl). The magnitude and location may be revised when additional data and further analysis results are available. There have been no reports of damage.
