The following is a release by the United States Geological Survey, National Earthquake Information Center: An earthquake occurred 145 km (90 miles) WSW of Bengkulu, Sumatra, Indonesia at 9:01 AM MST, Nov 22, 2008 (11:01 PM local time in Indonesia). The magnitude and location may be revised when additional data and further analysis results are available. There have been no reports of damage.

Felt (IV) at Bengkulu, Ketahun and Mukomuko; (III) at Kepahiang.
