The following is a release by the United States Geological Survey, National Earthquake Information Center: An earthquake occurred 105 km (65 miles) West Southwest of Cotabato, Mindanao, Philippines at 4:08 PM MDT, Jul 23, 2010 (Jul 24 at 6:08 AM local time in Philippines). The magnitude and location may be revised when additional data and further analysis results are available. This earthquake is located in a remote area and no damage or casualties are expected.

Felt (II PIVS) at Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cotabato, General Santos, Lingig, Socorro and Surigao; (I PIVS) at Lanuza. Also felt at Alabel, Davao, Kadingilan, Panabo and Puricay. Felt at Palo, Tagbilaran and Tanauan, Leyte.
