Magnitude 6.8 BONIN ISLANDS, JAPAN REGION

The following is a release by the United States Geological Survey, National Earthquake Information Center: An earthquake occurred IN THE JAPAN REGION, about 335 km (210 miles) west-northwest of Chichi-shima, Bonin Islands at 8:24 PM MST, Nov 29, 2010 (Nov 30 at 1:24 PM local time in Japan). The magnitude and location may be revised when additional data and further analysis results are available. There have been no reports of damage.

Felt (IV) at Yokohama and Zushi and (III) at Ayase and Yokosuka, Honshu. Also felt at Tokyo.
